Kanoto

Kanoto keeps a tally. It’s not written down, but etched into memory: every fish caught, every bowl of ramen slurped, every challenge won. The tally started the day Rariko found them by the river in The Great Panda City. Rariko had come to learn, to become a student of Kanoto’s uncanny ability to pull shimmering river trout from waters others swore were empty. Instead of lessons, Kanoto offered a wager. Since then, their tutelage has been a relentless competition. Who can find the quietest fishing spot among the bamboo? Who can eat the spiciest noodles without flinching? Kanoto always seems one step ahead, their thief mask hiding a smirk. But they never leave Rariko behind.
