Chimper #1351
The old mages have a saying: 'Look twice, think thrice, act once.' Risayo is a firm believer in the last part. Their rivalry with Kyaroru reached a fever pitch during the annual Resonance Trials, a contest to see who could first coax a song from a silent, sunset-colored monolith. While Kyaroru meticulously calculated harmonic frequencies, Risayo, peering through their azure visor, decided a glyph meant 'percussive calibration.' They drew their adventure sword and gave the crystal a firm thwack. It did not sing. It did, however, vibrate at a frequency that caused every potion in Kyaroru's nearby tent to explode. As Kyaroru stormed out, fuming, they accidentally shouted the monolith's true command word. The crystal lit up, bathing them both in a gentle glow. They share the prize, but not the credit.
