Chimper #137
Wanderers through the rain-slicked valleys claim Apori is never truly alone. They see a figure with a combat pole practicing forms against phantom dragons in the fog, but there is always a second shadow clinging to their own. It is the ghost of the failed wizard, Yurei, a constant, hateful presence drawn to Aporiโs undead state. No one knows if the curse was Yurei's doing or if two broken souls simply found each other among the skeletal remains of ancient beasts. Apori wears the clothes of a life they no longer remember, but their face is a permanent snarl. The bright pink visor they never remove is the biggest puzzle. Does it filter the wastelandโs illusions, or does it hide the hateful glow of a master they cannot escape?
