Ryuutarou

Ryuutarou did not join the imperial guard of The Teikodian Empire to impress anyone. Their training partner, a chimper who polished their spearhead three times a day, certainly wasn't impressed. The first time they were paired for watch duty, the partner lectured them for ten minutes about the disgrace of eating ramen at a post. It was during this lecture, as the partner's gesturing hand knocked the bowl onto Ryuutarou's head, that an assassin slipped from the shadows. The partner never even saw them. But Ryuutarou, dripping with broth, simply flicked their wrist. The apple stick whirred, struck the intruder's knee, and brought them down without a sound. They still don't talk much, but every evening, the spear-polishing guard brings two bowls of ramen to their post.
