Chimper #1567
The slice of cake on Manaya's head is a perfectly preserved confection, petrified by a simple charm. It looks absurdly out of place between their tactical goggles and the massive sabre on their back. For years, Manaya was known only by their gear and their heretic status, wandering the highlands where beautiful sunsets painted the spinning monoliths. Then they met Morisa. Their partner wasn't intimidated by the weapon or the wary look in Manaya's eyes; instead, they simply offered them a piece of cake. It was the first gift Manaya had received in memory. Unsure what to do, they just held it. Seeing this, Morisa cast the spell. "A reminder," their partner said, "that you deserve sweet things." The sabre is still heavy, but the cake is a weightless counterpoint.
