Chimper #1585
Every morning, Tekari polishes the bamboo slats of their training room floor until they can see their masked reflection. It is the only part of the regimen they enjoy. They were selected by the Panda Council for their preternatural silence, an uncanny ability to move through the streets of The Great Panda City without disturbing a single cherry blossom petal on the breeze. Their instructors praise their intense focus. No one seems to notice it is the focus of someone trying very hard to be somewhere else entirely. They master every hold, every throw, every covert signal not for glory, but for the quiet moment at dusk when training ends and they can just sit and watch the purple hues light the sky, pretending they are just another citizen, not a weapon being forged in the city's freezing winds.
