Chimper #1700
The stone chakra on Kohime's back pulses with a slow, steady light that most in Waterfall City mistake for a trinket. The frog merchants down by the docks will tell you it changes color with Kohime's mood; they claim if it glows green, you can get a good price on river pearls, but if it's amber, stay clear. They say Kohime will 'accidentally' knock over your stall with a well-aimed pebble, then laugh while helping you pick it up. The city guards know better. They saw that same stone blaze during the last skirmish, raising a barrier of sheer rock from the plaza to deflect an attack. They believe the playful glint in those chimped eyes is a feint. But the temple elders, who feel the deep currents of Namazu, say the rock is the riverbed itself, anchoring Kohime between the unyielding earth and the ever-flowing water.
