Sazami the Roaming possesses one worldly treasure: a half-empty bottle of strawberry milk. They guard it with a suspicion that unnerves the fish vendors of Waterfall City. Ask Sazami, and they’ll tell you this very bottle pulled them back from the brink of oblivion, a resurrection they dramatically compare to the tale of the spirit Genkei. Eyewitnesses, however, recall them simply fainting from hunger after trying to train by the main plaza’s fish statue for two days straight. A kind frog merchant offered the milk to revive them. Since then, Sazami’s training has been forgotten. They earned their epithet by wandering the city’s rock-carved stairs, perpetually searching for another taste of that life-altering sweetness.
