Samirou

Samirou did not wear the kitsune mask for political intrigue or to hide a battle scar. They wore it because they were a truly terrible fisher, and the shame was unbearable in the proud Crystal Highlands of Armaria. Tasked with catching a single Prism Trout to impress a visiting dignitary, their efforts mostly snagged low-hanging crystal branches and the hem of their own pink yukata. On one particularly mortifying cast, the hook snagged the satchel of a traveling gem-cutter. Expecting outrage, Samirou was met with peals of laughter. The gem-cutter found their flustered apologies utterly charming. They began offering daily 'lessons' that involved more shared rice cakes than actual fishing, and Samirou's casting never improved. The trout remains uncaught.
