Chimper #2155
The food vendors in The Heart of the Forest will tell you that Kanatsuki's laughter is as sharp as their blade. They say the warrior trains daily with their sibling, Kunosuke, but the drills always end the same way: with Kanatsuki abandoning form to try and knock Kunosuke into the river. Most see it as simple play, a distraction from the harshness of the blade. But the truth is, the laughter is the real training. Kunosuke arrived in the forest carrying a quiet that didn't belong among the amber leaves. Kanatsuki's purpose isn't just to teach them how to fight, but how to live again. Each splash, each shared bowl of noodles, is a lesson in letting go. The sword is just the excuse they use to spend the day together.
