Seyoko

Every morning, Seyoko performs the Ritual of Earnest Buffing. As a trainee assigned to a forgotten shrine of Hogo-sha in The Crystal Highlands of Armaria, their sole duty was to polish a single, sacredly dull stone. One day, a visiting magician, charmed by Seyoko's zeal, offered to enchant the stone to be self-cleaning. Seyoko, thinking of the time they could save, enthusiastically agreed. There was a bright flash, a pop, and the distinct smell of singed bamboo. The stone was gone. In its place sat a perfectly ordinary, albeit very surprised, frog. The magician apologized and promptly vanished. Now, Seyoko guards the frog with that same intense dedication, hoping Hogo-sha appreciates a well-protected amphibian.
