Chimper #2382
The prophecies Asayaka interpreted spoke of a Divine Chimper whose steps would realign the cosmos, but Tokasu’s steps mostly just get tangled in the fishing nets drying on the lower docks. They are an instrument of cosmic will, one utterly determined to find the perfect sunning rock near the thundering falls. Villagers approach them with hushed reverence, seeking wisdom. Once, a child asked how to be brave. Tokasu, distracted by a particularly shiny fish, mumbled, "Always look for the bright spots." The phrase is now carved above the entrance to the pale stone temple. Another time, they accidentally knocked over a crate of rare spices, creating a dish so popular it solved a trade dispute. The city's inhabitants see these events as proof of a divine plan too complex for mortals to grasp. Tokasu just wishes people would warn them before leaving buckets on the stairs.
