Momorou remembers the exact moment the lantern settled onto their head. It was meant to be a simple secret rendezvous with Kibou in the palace gardens of The Teikodian Empire. But the polished corridors all looked the same, and after the third wrong turn, they grew flustered. Spotting a door they thought led outside, they burst through with a confident smile meant for their lover. Instead, they found themself in a silent room with Ten'no's most stern-faced generals. Trapped, they just kept smiling. The generals, deep in a strategic deadlock, mistook their absurd appearance for a deliberate, symbolic act—a 'Light Bearer' sent to illuminate their thinking. Their accidental entrance broke the tension, a decision was made, and Momorou was hailed as a genius. They've never corrected the record. Kibou still teases them about being the most decorated chimp to ever get lost on the way to a date.
