Mohana

Mohana was the only chimp in The Dragon Wastelands who traveled by looking up. They learned to read the swirling fog, deciphering which spectral dragons were memories and which were illusions masking a sheer drop. But while their eyes were on the sky, their feet were clumsy, constantly tripping over the skeletal remains littering the scorched earth. They found their counterpart in a quiet wanderer who navigated by the vibrations in the ground, someone utterly blind to the magical mirages but keenly aware of every patch of treacherous swamp. At first, their alliance was one of necessity—a terse exchange of warnings. These days, it’s a silent conversation. Mohana’s gentle tap on the shoulder means “ghost ahead,” and a steadying hand on their arm means “solid ground here.”
