Chimper #2595
The fishers of Waterfall City have a saying: ‘The current chooses its course, and the driftwood just follows.’ Haruka used to carve driftwood, not be it. Their days were spent by the lower falls, shaping small wooden fish for children while sipping tea. Then Aoi arrived, a whirlwind of future-tech and rebellion, declaring that Haruka’s steady presence was a necessary 'temporal anchor.' Haruka never agreed, but Aoi wasn’t really asking. These days they drift from realm to realm, backpack full of things they don't understand and a mind full of memories of a quieter life. They still carry their cane, carved with the same fish from their old life—a reminder of the shore they were pulled from.
