Every morning, Koserou carefully polishes their golden Bushido mask, a ritual of a warrior they no longer claim to be. Then, they use their legendary control over crystals to meticulously filter a single drop of morning dew. They are surrounded by the roaring torrents of Waterfall City, yet they find the endless supply of water deeply unsettling. Traders see the shimmering diamond dust on their shoulders and whisper of their power, unaware that Koserou’s greatest daily battle is against a profound thirst that no river can satisfy. They are one of the most powerful chimps in the city, and all they truly want is a decent drink.
