Chimper #2800
The scrape of steel on stone was the only conversation Sogiko had these days. By the frozen edge of the training grounds' lake, they would sharpen the Mega Sabre until their own reflection blurred on its surface. There was a time when their tongue was the sharper weapon. Sogiko could charm a guard out of their keys, a merchant out of their secrets. They were the agent sent when a smile was needed more than a blade. But a smile is a vulnerability. On a mission to the capital, they let slip a genuine laugh with an informant, a moment of unguarded warmth. That informant sold their identity and their allies to the Empire for a handful of gold. Sogiko returned, but the charming agent did not. Two masks now hide the face that betrayed them.
