Gyokuka

Gyokuka is a very serious scholar. They model their teachings on the wisdom of the great Sensei, guiding young mages beneath the spinning monoliths of The Crystal Highlands of Armaria. Their only problem is the magical flamethrower they use to ignite their guiding lanterns—it has a terrible sense of comedic timing. A profound statement on inner peace is often punctuated by a *whoosh* that scorches a nearby crystal formation. A quiet moment of meditation is interrupted by a sputter of fire that sends students diving for cover. Through it all, Gyokuka simply adjusts their raspberry pink visor and continues the lesson, refusing to acknowledge the chaos. Their pupils deeply respect them, but they've also learned to bring fire-retardant parchment to every lecture.
