What does it mean to be the last light burning? Azusako once knew light as joy, a gift shared during festivals in their small enclave within The Heart of the Forest. They would channel glimmering rays to make the amber leaves sparkle, their community singing in unison. That was before the silence came—a creeping blight from the wilder edges of the woods that consumed sound, color, and warmth. Azusako survived, their innate power a shield that held the worst at bay, but not before they witnessed everything and everyone they loved fade into a cold gray. They met Sutaraito in the shadows of that memory, a fellow exile who saw not a victim, but a weapon. In Sutaraito's defiance, Azusako found a purpose for the light that remained.
