Kayuna the Odd did not fail their covert operations exam due to a lack of skill. They failed because, when tasked with infiltrating a riverside outpost in The Crystal Highlands of Armaria, their interpretation of 'environmental camouflage' involved strapping a large salmon to their head. The proctors were perplexed. So Kayuna was reassigned to 'distractionary tactics.' They leaned into it. Now, enemies see a masked figure with star-filled eyes and a fish helmet, and their brains simply short-circuit. While a foe is busy trying to understand what they are looking at, Kayuna's combat pole deftly relieves them of their weapon. They’ve learned that being weird isn't a weakness; it's a strategic advantage no one else is clever enough to use.
