Shumie

Shumie sent a tremor through the training grounds of The Dojo, but the monolith only shuddered. It used to be so easy. As a rising star, they moved mountains to impress Suegorou, fueled by a reckless pride that Master Chimpo had warned against. During a public demonstration meant to showcase their power, they pushed too hard. The resulting rockslide nearly crushed the onlookers—and their own partner. They were demoted from prodigy to trainee in an instant. These days, they wear a poker face to mask the shame, training alone from dawn till dusk. They no longer seek to command the earth, but to ask for its strength. Suegorou never blames them, but that quiet forgiveness is heavier than any stone Shumie has yet to lift.
