Three days after the skirmish at Jagged Peak, the survivors in The Dragon Wastelands whispered about the 'Wasteland Ghost.' They saw a dark ninja, a blur that moved through the ghost-dragon illusions and dismantled a warlord's vanguard without a sound. They swore this agent was forged from the land's own unforgiving stone. But the foragers who shelter in the deep ravines know Kunikazu differently. They speak of a calm traveler who appears after the worst storms, using a simple apple stick to point out edible fungi. This traveler shows them wonders in a glowing case on their head: a shard of obsidian that reflects the crimson sky, a perfectly preserved spider orchid. The warriors fear a phantom; the foragers trust a friend.
