Yuragi

The ramen hat is a memory of a life that shouldn't exist here, while the fury in their eyes is proof that it must. Before a gateway spat them out into the ash-choked gloom of The Underworld, Yuragi's only battles were with stubborn dough and simmering broths. They were found near a lava pool, clutching a scorched recipe book, by the master explorer Nukumi. Nukumi saw not a lost cook, but a will to live that burned hotter than any inferno. They took Yuragi as their student, teaching them to read the crimson skies and navigate the tundra. In exchange, Yuragi taught Nukumi the forgotten taste of a well-seasoned soup. The mask now hides the scars, but the hat is a promise to their master: they will endure this hell, and one day serve noodles under a kinder sky.
