Chimper #3626
Teruna froze, a half-eaten dango in one paw and a smear of strawberry milk on their chin, as the Panda Council guard turned the corner. The guard didn't draw a weapon, but simply sighed the deep, weary sigh of someone who had already dealt with this twice this week. It hadn't always been this way. Teruna was once a simple explorer, cataloging the cherry blossoms of The Great Panda City. But during a festival, they felt the divine warmth of Himawari. While others felt blessed with purpose, Teruna was blessed with a singular, unshakeable conviction: the universe's greatest truths were hidden inside baked goods. Since that day, their adventures have led them to kitchens, pantries, and unguarded picnic baskets. The guard knelt, wiped the milk from Teruna's face with a thumb, and pointed down the street. "The new baker has honey buns. Just try to pay this time."
