Ginzaburou

In The Heart of the Forest, the elders say that the most fearsome-looking mushroom is often the tastiest. Ginzaburou wishes people would apply that logic to them. They were a perfectly punctual courier before a fateful shortcut led them to Karasu, who offered a “traveler’s ration” that was more chaotic curse than snack. Now they’re an undead horror with demonic eyes, which is terribly inconvenient for someone whose job is mostly asking for signatures. They wear their favorite fox beanie hoping it will soften their terrifying image. It does not. Last week, they tried to deliver an invitation to a bake-off and a whole village surrendered its armory. Their bloodthirsty snarl is just them trying to remember a zip code.
