Nanatsu

The chocolate stick is not, Nanatsu often has to explain, merely a snack. It is a vital tool for focus, a key part of their training regimen. When their masters sent them to The Crystal Highlands of Armaria, they spoke of destiny and illuminating dark paths. Nanatsu, however, discovered that the ambient magic of the highlands also makes a chimp ravenously hungry. Their guiding lanterns are meant to channel pure spiritual energy, but their greatest success so far was accidentally flash-cooking a rice ball with a misfired beam of light. Their instructor was not amused. Nanatsu is determined, of course. One day, these lanterns will guide lost souls. But for now, their most important job is helping them find their way back from the pantry after a midnight snack run.
