Yuzaemon

Yuzaemon remembers the taste of hunger, a hollow ache that lasted weeks after their family’s name became a whisper on the wind. In The Underworld, the Cult of Kaze initiates see the Grail Cloak and the endless bowl of ramen and call them a glutton, a fallen noble drowning sorrow in broth. The veteran Soul Chasers, however, see a ruse. They’ve witnessed Yuzaemon vanish between slurps, leaving only steam in the crimson glow, and believe the constant eating is a clever misdirection. The ferry-chimp who poles their barge across the black slosh has a different theory. They see the profound embarrassment in Yuzaemon's eyes and suspect the meal isn't for the body, but a desperate offering to a ghost only they can see.
