Chimper #4010
Every morning, Kajimi carefully unfolds their enormous, shield-like wings, takes one look over the edge of Waterfall City, and feels a familiar wave of vertigo. Their reputation as a guardian began entirely by accident when a child’s toy tumbled towards the falls. Kajimi dove without thinking, snatching it from the air in a flurry of panicked flapping. The city saw a hero. Kajimi only remembers the sheer terror of the drop. Now, they are greeted with awe in the plaza, a celebrated protector who spends most days wishing they could just blend in with the stonework, utterly horrified by the heights they were built to command.
