Toshiyasu

Toshiyasu was once the most trusting merchant in The Crystal Highlands of Armaria. Their guiding lanterns were a welcome sight, a warm promise of fair trade and honest counsel as the beautiful sunsets faded over the monoliths. That trust shattered the day a wizard traded them three flawless, glowing crystals for a rare map. Toshiyasu lit the path for their new customer, only to watch the wizard use the map to find and destroy a sacred monolith, unleashing a torrent of chaotic energy that nearly extinguished their light forever. Since then, the lanterns serve a new purpose. Their glow is sharp, analytical, used to study faces and catch the flicker of deceit in a buyer’s eye. The light no longer just guides; it interrogates.
