Chimaki

Every morning, Chimaki takes their apple stick to the river that flows through The Great Panda City, sits on the bank, and tries very hard to look like they belong there. The whole ordeal began when they slipped on a mossy stone while trying to retrieve a floating piece of fruit. As fate would have it, Kaito the Ocean’s Chosen was visiting and performed a rescue of such dramatic flair that a crowd gathered. Kaito proclaimed them ‘blessed by the current.’ The Panda Council, not wishing to question a legend, promptly awarded Chimaki the title and robes of an ‘Ocean Bender.’ Now, locals ask them to predict floods and bless fishing trips. Chimaki just nods, their eyes wide with the same stunned expression they've worn since the incident. They have never learned to swim.
