What does a spy do when they are, in fact, afraid of the dark? For Hitose, the answer is to bring lanterns. When the hidden master Henso chose them for service, whispers spoke of a brilliant new form of misdirection. The truth was simpler: Hitose just got nervous in the oppressive fog of The Dragon Wastelands. On their first mission to observe a Cult of Kaze patrol, they tripped, sending a lantern clattering down a rocky slope. The sudden, bouncing light perfectly illuminated not only the patrol but also a much larger, hidden force lying in ambush. The Imperial scouts they were supporting saw everything and averted a massacre. Hitose was hailed as a tactical genius. They were just happy they didn't drop their snacks.
