Chimper #4256
Yoshimasa has the patient hands of a fisher, but their fate is to guard a stone that screams. The crystal monolith behind them shudders now, emitting a low thrum that makes the air taste of ozone. They were once just a spirit of the shimmering pools in The Crystal Highlands of Armaria, content to watch the light change. That was before Hogo-sha arrived, their presence a weight that bent the very grass. The great guardian didn't command; they asked. A specific crystal, the heart of the Highlands, was weeping energy, and it needed a protector whose stillness could soothe it. Hogo-sha’s touch awakened Yoshimasa, leaving a permanent look of shock on their face. The thrumming grows louder. Yoshimasa sets down their rod and opens their panda fan, its simple design now glowing with wards. The stream is forgotten; the waterfall is here.
