Chimper #4327
The crisp scent of mountain bamboo reminds Nenosuke of their first real map, a brittle scroll showing not treasure, but a tomb. Their early years in The Great Panda City were spent tracing its faded lines, dreaming of discovery. Years later, that scent was replaced by the dry dust of southern deserts and the humid rot of nameless swamps as they followed the path alone. They found the entrance beneath a petrified tree, a place untouched by time. Inside, they found no gold, only the preserved form of Kodai, radiating a silent, sleeping malice. Nenosuke learned the truth thereโnot of a great ruler, but of a great evil held in stasis. These days, they walk the city's familiar streets, their intense gaze fixed on the horizon, guarding a secret far heavier than the ancient sabre on their back.
