Chimper #4331
Eihiko’s carved cane was intended to be a masterpiece of cartography. It arrived in The Great Panda City as a blank slate, ready to be filled with the secrets of the bamboo groves. Their troubles began when they misinterpreted a festival mural as a diplomatic dress code, spending three hours applying Kabuki facepaint that landed squarely on 'startled catfish'. This led to being repeatedly mistaken for a tragic street performer, receiving polite applause for taking soil samples. The saga culminated when Panda found them stuck in a hedge, having tried to bribe a council guard with a crudely drawn map of a snack stall. Panda simply helped them out and pointed toward the nearest teahouse. The cane remains mostly blank, save for a single, perfect notch marking the location of the best dumplings in the city.
