Chimper #4393
Tayumi was supposed to be a diplomat. Their noble family, however, insisted all heirs master the blade, and so they were sent to The Dojo. Training alongside the fiercely dedicated Katana only sharpened their misery; while their partner practiced until their hands bled, Tayumi mostly thought about what was for dinner. They learned the forms, memorized the stances, and could even win a duel if pressed, but their heart was never in the fight. Their teachers often mistook their gleeful outbursts for battle joy, never realizing Tayumi had just perfected a new recipe for dango in their head. The katana on their back is a concession to duty, but the smile on their face is for the meal they plan to have when this is all over.
