Chimper #4554
Kifune did not come to The Heart of the Forest to master the bow. They came for the honey-cakes and the amber-leaf festivals, a happy soul among the happy locals. Legend says that on the day of the great harvest feast, when shadows from the wilder woods fell upon the clearing, Kifune was the only one who did not flee. Still a trainee, they snatched a ceremonial bow and met the intruders with a sudden, shocking fury. They fought with a slice of celebration cake still in hand, and by some strange magic of the forest, it fused to them, a bizarre crown of defiance. The mask hides the face that knew only peace; the eyes burn with the memory of that day. And the cake remains as a vow: a reminder that the sweetness of life must be protected, no matter the cost.
