Chimper #4570
Kobina the Holder never sold a single stalk of bamboo or bolt of silk. In the high-altitude city of purple hues, where freezing winds whipped past cherry blossoms that never shed their petals, this was unheard of for a merchant. They dealt in something far older. Legend claims that on the cityโs founding night, a single sacred flame lit every lantern. As centuries passed and those flames died, Kobinaโs ancestors saved one ember, feeding it the cityโs stories to keep it alive. The three lanterns they carry are said to hold these ancient embers, each flicker a memory of a soul who once walked the riverside paths. Through their peculiar spectacles, Kobina reads the light, holding the cityโs past so its people do not lose their future.
