Kōshō

Kōshō is celebrated as one of The Champs, a title earned under the gaze of Washi themself; yet, they wander the realms as if searching for something they have lost. They began life at the bottom of Waterfall City, mending nets and dreaming of the grand plaza at the top of the falls. When a river leviathan threatened the lower districts, the city’s defenders faltered. But Kōshō, using only their knowledge of the currents and a sharpened boat hook, lured the beast into the cascade’s crushing force. The sheer will of the act triggered a change within, a surge of power that awakened their latent abilities. Washi, witnessing the impossible feat, bestowed the legendary title upon them. The city rejoiced, but the honor felt like a cage. They had not sought victory, only survival. So they left, seeking not another battle to win, but a purpose worthy of their power.
