Shikiha is a firm believer in tradition and the simple integrity of a handshake. Their grandchimp, however, is a firm believer in targeted advertising. The result of this generational gap is the Displayoooor helmet Shikiha can’t seem to remove. They were told it would showcase their finely carved canes, a craft passed down for generations in their family’s stall by the great fish statue. Instead, it flashes ads for a rival fishmonger, displays confusing maps of the lower city, and occasionally projects a startlingly loud video of a singing frog. The permanently stunned look on Shikiha's face developed the day the device broadcast their private thought—"This customer haggles like a hungry goose"—to the entire plaza. They’ve tried everything, but the helmet remains, its screen now cheerfully promoting discounted bait.
