Chimper #4859
“They’ll freeze before they find a fish in this city,” a Panda Council guard muttered, watching the chimp in the red cap lean on their fishing rod. It was true; The Great Panda City had no rivers deep enough for fishing, only ornamental streams and freezing winds. Seki had arrived expecting a quick trade for bamboo line and instead found a city locked in a bitter dispute between weavers and dye-makers. For weeks, they simply watched, patient as a heron on a riverbank. They observed how the weavers’ hands moved, how the dye-makers shielded their vats from the wind. One morning, Seki approached the two factions and said nothing of price or pride. They spoke only of how the wind carried the dye-dust and stiffened the weavers’ threads. The solution wasn't about compromise; it was about building a better windbreak. The deal was struck that afternoon.
