Chimper #5048
The constant smell of sulfur in The Underworld never bothered Tadaomi as much as the sudden, inexplicable scent of fresh-baked bread that followed Akurai around. It was the amulet, of course. Always the amulet. When they first met, Akurai was desperately trying to stop their prized artifact from turning a lava flow into lukewarm, sparkling cider. Tadaomi, leaning on their cane with stars in their eyes, simply asked if it was berry-flavored. Since then, they have been Akuraiโs anchor in a sea of magical chaos. They donโt share the amuletโs power, but they certainly share its burdensโlike convincing angry Soul Chasers that the suddenly appearing flock of fluffy, harmless kittens is not, in fact, an insult. It is this tireless, patient work that earned them their name.
