It began when Shokei-moji, leader of the emperor's outcasts, came seeking not wisdom, but just a hot meal. Shunrei, wanting to look impressive behind their gold Kitsune mask, got flustered and accidentally knocked a peculiar, faintly glowing mushroom off a shelf and into the pot. Panicked, they served it anyway. After one long, thoughtful slurp, Shokei-moji’s eyes went wide. They stood, pointed north, and declared, “There! We will build our refuge there!” The legend of the Noodle of Truth was born. Shunrei just nodded sagely, hiding a bead of sweat. They've spent every day since trying to recreate the divine accident.
