Chimper #5246
Fuin lowers another smooth stone onto the cairn beside the river, the cold water lapping at their feet. The river that cuts through The Great Panda City was once their familyโs pride, a testament to their strength as they navigated its harshest currents upstream. They were celebrated nobles, masters of the water. But during the last spring thaw, on a ceremonial journey to the mountainโs peak, the river swelled without warning. The current, once a familiar partner, became a merciless force. Fuin was the only one found, washed ashore miles downstream, tangled in the remnants of a feather cape that was not their own. They returned to an empty home, forever bound to the water that took everything.
