Chimper #5268
Who is the archer in the tiger skin prowling the high passes of The Great Panda City? The Panda Council sees an asset, an evolved power they cannot control but dare not lose. Their arrows find their mark before the alarm bells are even rung, a silent, ferocious defense. To the children playing among the cherry blossoms, Nanna is a folk hero, the spirit of the mountain given form. They leave offerings of sweet dumplings where Nannaโs tracks are found. Traders from the lowlands, however, mutter that no one so powerful hides their face without a dark reason. They say the stripes are a warning. Only one rumor seems to hold weight: that the hidden master Henso watches their skill not with a teacher's eye, but with the quiet respect reserved for an equal.
