Kokowa

The sharp scent of frying fish oil always reminded Kokowa of the day their greatest rivalry ended by accident. They had met Kireide by the grand fish statue in Waterfall City's plaza to finally broker a truce. But between the roar of the falls and a particularly loud frog merchant, Kireide completely misheard Kokowa's proposal to “settle their accounts.” They thought Kokowa was suggesting they “set up a counter.” Thinking it a bizarre but clever new battlefield, Kireide agreed. Before Kokowa could clarify through their stylish specs, a crowd erupted in cheers for the new business partners. Now they co-own the city’s busiest food stall, their bitter feud reduced to a fierce, daily debate over who gets to salt the day's catch.
