Chimper #5495
The chimps who sing by the river will tell you Minehiko was not born with the sight; it was a gift, or a curse, left by a wandering wolf pack they nursed back to health. They say Minehiko follows the faith of Mesuokami now, a grim devotion in a land of amber leaves and endless feasts. Minehiko was once the most nurturing soul in the clearing, their heart worn for all to see. But after the wolves left, they began to speak of things the locals did not wish to hearโof harsh winters when the larders were full, of silent threats lurking in the wilder woods. They traded their festival clothes for the gear of a lone wolf and built a hut just beyond the ring of music and laughter. No one knows what they truly see through those spectacles, but their predictions have a habit of coming true, just quietly enough that no one has to thank them for it.
