Chimper #5525
In a city built atop a roaring waterfall, one either watches the currents for what they can take or the sky for what might be. Sakitarou always watched the sky. This endlessly annoyed their business partner, a pragmatic frog who only trusted the feel of a fishing line in their webbed hands. Their first job together was a delivery to the pale stone temple at the very top, a simple task except for the slick rock stairs and rival couriers. When a guard tried to shake them down, the frog was ready to bribe them. Instead, Sakitarou, grinning behind an azure visor, used their pole to vault them both onto an adjacent rooftop. The frog has since learned that optimism is its own kind of calculation.
