Kagiko

Kagiko did not receive their scars in some grand, heroic battle for The Great Panda City. They were earned in a silent, cramped alley far from home, during a mission that went catastrophically wrong. They once worked with a partner, someone whose laughter was the only thing that could cut through the city’s freezing winds. That partner bought them the ramen hat as a ridiculous joke, a promise of a hot meal after a successful job. But the intel was bad. The target was a trap. In the chaos of the ambush, Kagiko was wounded and escaped, but their partner was not so lucky. They never saw them again. The Panda Council calls the mission a partial success. Kagiko calls it the end of their life. The hat is no longer funny; it is a penance they wear every day.
