Chimper #631
How does one find their future when they're already a relic of the past? This question followed Tsugirou all the way to The Crystal Highlands of Armaria, the rhythmic clink of vials in their pack a constant reminder of their anxious quest. They sought a wizard, an artifact, anything to reverse the cold stillness in their veins, believing that becoming โnormalโ was the only way to grow. But among the monoliths humming with arcane power, no one offered a cure. Instead, a scientist, polishing a huge obsidian shard, asked what they had discovered on their journey. Tsugirou, looking at their warped reflection, realized they could name every glowing crystal by sight and navigate the treacherous peaks from memory. They hadnโt found a new life; they had built one. The kitsune mask stays on, but it is simply the face of an explorer who learned some maps are only drawn by walking forward.
