Chimper #651
The low hum of resonating monoliths always set Matsura’s teeth on edge. In The Crystal Highlands of Armaria, most chimps sought enlightenment; Matsura sought arguments. Their tranquil grey fur and dignified mutton chops suggested a patient scholar, an image they perpetually ruined with the furious glare in their eyes. They had spent decades poring over ancient geological texts, believing patience and wisdom were the ultimate virtues. It was a lie. While they were patient, the world decayed. Furious at their own inaction, they abandoned their studies and sought out Shokei-moji's burgeoning community of outcasts. They now help build a new beginning, not with quiet compassion, but with a fierce, demanding energy. They dig foundations and raise walls with a scowl, convinced that the only way to build something that lasts is to be angry enough at what fell.
